I will be divulging all the knowledge I have acquired during my artistic endeavors. As time goes by I intend to increase the information on the site and hopefully people will be able to find useful resources within it. I began working in ceramics in art school in the UK. On arrival to San Francisco I found Ruby's Clay Studio. I have been working there since 1992. Always fascinated with myth and magic and after trips to Africa, I am developing a body of work, which began with a fundraising show in 2005 called "The Ancestors are Calling". The monies raised in my fundraising exhibitions enable me to fund my volunteer international community projects.

Magic, mythology and symbolism play a huge role in my work. The symbols used here in my site are called ADINKRA. These are just a few of many. The symbols are printed onto a cloth used in funeral ceremonies of the Akan peoples of Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire, West Africa. Adinkra symbols have multilayered meanings and levels of interpretation. They tend to represent uplifting, motivating and character building attributes of the individual.
